Care Pals
The MVPC Care Pals Team shows the love of God through caring and laughter as they provide a weekly craft and entertainment at the local memory care facility Where The Heart Is. Created and coordinated by our own Linda R. when she saw the need, talk with her or call the church office to support or join the team.

Family Promise of Skagit Valley
MVPC is a founding member of Family Promise of Skagit Co and participates actively in hosting the rotating shelter for families experiencing homelessness. Consider volunteering during our quarterly host week by providing a meal, being an overnight host, or helping turn our Sunday School rooms into a welcoming home.
Family Promise across the nation allows communities to develop comprehensive, holistic solutions for families facing homelessness. Families come to us in crisis; our approach of coordinated compassion helps them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support. -

Underground Ministries
MVPC is home to the Underground Ministry Offices and has been a part of their transformational ministry to the incarcerated and those returning home from prison since their early years as they work to build a movement of mass relationship-building: a new department of connections.
Equipping Communities to Embrace Those Returning From Prison
We're building a movement of mass relationship-building: a new department of connections. When neighbors, friends, lawyers, churches, employers, and schools build better relationships with folks returning from prison, those with a fatal lack of hope find the community and support they need to heal.

Service Learning Opportunities
At MVPC we encourage our members to participate in week long Service Learning Opportunities by hosting an opportunity every few years. In the Summer of 2025 we were excited to send an All Ages Team to Campbell Farms in Eastern Washington. The MVPC Team helped to lead the Campbell Farm summer day camp program, volunteered sorting food at Northwest Harvest (a non-profit food bank), helped with yard work at the home of a family in need, and more. They spent time learning about how to better serve others as they learned about the Yakama Nation, hearing stories from local elders and receiving a guided tour of the Yakama Museum. The team also enjoyed gathering as a group every evening for songs and reflections. On the final afternoon, they took a break from serving to raft the Yakima River. The team led worship the following Sunday, sharing their stories of serving and all they had learned with the congregation.
Future Mission Partners!
At MVPC we are always prayerfully discerning and searching for future mission partners both in Skagit Valley and the World as we seek to follow God's calling to us to serve others.
