- Tall Timber | Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church
Tall Timber "At Tall Timber, a wilderness camp and retreat center, we understand what it feels like to be pulled in too many directions at one time — frequently feeling overwhelmed — regularly linked to a device. We believe we are made for something more, for community, to be seen, heard, loved, known. Come see what God has in store for you. Reconnect with who you were uniquely made to be — at camp. Make the choice to experience time free from screens. Here, in God’s stunning wilderness setting, you will experience meaningful connections, rest and renewal." MVPC sends elementary, middle, and high school students to camp at Tall Timber each summer, using scholarships and fundraising so that all who want to attend are able to attend. We also encourage families to attend their family summer and winter camps, support the camp through mission giving, and have a church member serving on the board. Please check out their website to find out more : www.TallTimber.org

- Care Pals | Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church
Care Pals Ministry Care Pals' Mission is to show the love of God through caring, laughter and devotion to others. Our volunteers do that through our weekly crafting groups at Where The Heart Is located in Burlington, Washington. This facility is an assisted and memory care home for over 80 residents. We have been providing weekly visits for close to 10 years. Our time together is spent doing crafts, singing, serving refreshment and celebrating each other by sharing stories. We as volunteers are truly blessed to be able to meet these wonderful people and share our love of God. The Care Pals team hold their Care Pal friends in prayer and are again meeting to share activities, laughter and companionship. Covid 19 has changed how things are done but not the caring for each other. Contact the church office to find out how to become a Care Pals Volunteer!
